A Proud American
I love the United States! No, we’re not perfect and we do have issues to address (due to the heart of man) but we are still the greatest Nation on the planet. I’ve been to third world countries where people live in mud huts, have no electricity or running water and struggle for their next meal. In their simplicity and hardship, they nonetheless worship the Lord and are refreshed!
Read Your Bible
I must admit, when I come home from a mission trip like that, I want to throw my computer out the window! Oftentimes, we are just too busy here in America to notice His greatness and our abundance, so I wrote the song as a reminder to slow down, reflect and praise.
“Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
A PROUD AMERICAN

As I sit and ponder majestic mountains and golden fields of grain
Blood stained battlefields that gave this home its name
Food for the poor, strength for the weak, giving all a voice to speak
A mighty nation, a cause of freedom, an abundant land
I know it’s all true
And I know what we must do
Become a proud American
Love your neighbor as your friend
Sing hallelujah, say amen to God above, the God of love
Become a proud American
Read your Bible and hope again
Shine His light forevermore, to guide us all from shore to shore
I am a proud American
I love the U.S.A.
I am a proud American today!
All men are created equal, we hold this truth self-evident
Life and Liberty, the pursuit of happiness
In America it’s all true
That’s why our hearts bleed red, white and blue
Become a proud American
Love your neighbor as your friend
Sing hallelujah, say amen to God above, the God of love
Become a proud American
Read your Bible and hope again
Shine His light forevermore, to guide us all from shore to shore
I am a proud American
I love the U.S.A.
I am a proud American today!
<< A Capella Chorus >>
I am a proud American
I love the U.S.A.
I am a proud American today!
I am a proud American
I love the U.S.A.
I am a proud American today! (oh yea)
The land of the free
God bless the U.S.A.
The home of the brave
